Your United Way is local.
Our strategy is to conduct a single community wide campaign each year. By combining the energy and talents of local volunteers, we work together to raise funds to meet diverse human service needs in our area. Money raised here, stays here.
Your United Way is efficient.
Your one donation supports fourteen member agencies that provide services to thousands of local people every year. While you are at work, your donation is providing literacy instruction, meals for the elderly, disaster and emergency relief, assistance to the needy, counseling, childcare, programs for youth, therapy for disabled children, and many, many more services that help us care for one another.
Your United Way is accountable.
We are as careful with your dollars as you are. Volunteers meet yearly to decide which agencies get your money and how much. We want to ensure that programs offered by United Way member agencies are meeting community needs in a responsible manner.
